Eastern Cape principal honoured as a Mover & Shaker
St
Francis agency principal and Eastern Cape real estate stalwart John Cooper has
been recognized as an industry Mover & Shaker at this years Nedbank
Property Association Property Professional awards.
The Mover & Shaker accolades are awarded to industry leaders for their
ongoing contribution to the growth and well-being of real estate. Coopers
award was made specifically in recognition of his determination and customer
retention, which manifests itself in his dominance of his market.
Cooper joined the Chas Everitt International property group in 2004 and is
now one of five group members who have achieved Mover & Shaker awards since
the inception of the Property Professional awards nine years ago.
The group has also notched up a total of six Young Lion awards made to the
stars of tomorrow and in 2006, a Chas Everitt International franchisee
was named as the Property Professional of the Year.
In 2004, group founder and chairman Charles Everitt received a Property Professional
Lifetime Achievement award to honour his many years of service and dedication
to raising professional standards in the SA real estate industry,
This gives the group a substantial honour roll of award winners
that also includes group MD Berry Everitt, franchising CEO Barry Davies, Western
Cape director Andre de Villiers and KZN MD Barney Fleiser.
In addition, many of the groups agents have, over the years, been finalists
in the running for the Property Professional of the Year award including
Paul Everitt and his team, who made their second showing as finalists this year.
Commenting on this record, Berry Everitt says: We believe this is something
really worth celebrating not only for what it says about the quality
of leadership in the Chas Everitt International group, but for the trust it
inspires in the homebuyers and sellers that are our major focus.
In this regard, it is important to note firstly that the Property Professional
awards are definitely not only about real estate sales. Indeed, most of the
laurels handed out by the PA Property Professional Club each year go to people
who have made a contribution to the industry in terms of service ethics, professionalism,
community involvement, education and marketing and innovation.
Secondly, the candidates for the awards are all independently judged
by the trustees of the club, which means these accolades are a true gauge for
consumers of how agents and agencies shape up against their
peers and competitors in the industry.
